We are currently working with a team of experts from mathematics publishers
to add several hundreds of characters needed for full coverage of
mathematics. This project is making good progress, but it will not make it
into Unicode 3.0 for which the repertoire has been frozen. (See the beta
announcement on the homepage of the Unicode website http://www.unicode.org)
Your question is good input into the planned extension work.
