This doesn't really help you much with your Mac problem, but Jim Naughton
has made a polytonic Greek keyboard for SC Unipad that works very well;
unfortunately, Unipad doesn't work on a Mac. But you can find the keyboard
and other unicode polytonic Greek info at
http://users.ox.ac.uk/~tayl0010/html_help.html.
