I guess I am the only person who noted the irony in your insistence that a
plain text mechanism is required for Word? :-)
Now I like Word, but its ultra-rich text format is well-known. Same thing
for WordPad. Plain text is a notepad thing -- but of course that will not
work in Windows 95. Since you taking the hit of rich text anyway, the whole
exercise loses its meaning a bit.
Sorry I am not providing a huge essay....
