    Some time ago someone suggested that some German genealogy signs be
    encoded. Some time thereafter, but apparently too closely to the
    publication of N258A, a document was forwarded:

    There has been no comment which leads one to believe that there is
    nothing controversial in the set. :-)

    Whoever it was (Werner, Lukas, James...) who asked for these
    characters and indeed for the austral and guarani signs to be encoded
    should have a look at http://www.unicode.org/sei/ which I am sure
    will inspire them.
