    Trying to say what the "correct" transliteration or transcription of
    an Arabic word is silly, and in the scheme of things it frankly
    doesn't matter. The only "real" name for these letters is the Arabic
    letter name in the native orthography. Otherwise you are just looking
    at an approximation and it just doesn't matter. The same "correct"
    name arguments could be made for all of the precomposed han'gul (or
    hankul or hangul or ...) as well.

    This whole discussion is a waste of time.
