    But, alas, not the vowels :-(. (At least, not in Word 2002.) It looks as
    though one needs primitive fonts (or graphics) for such tasks. For *now*,
    it looks as though per-character colour and Unicode are not compatible - the
    mark-up capabilities aren't there - unless you fill the PUA with contextual
    forms. :-(
