Does anyone have a reference to a good survey of the state of the art for use of
    Unicode on handhelds?

    Any experience/info/observatins re...
    * Message length being rather shorter in Unicode SMS than with 7 or 8 bit
    * Preferences oin design & programming for UTF-8 or -16? (a quick Google pulled
    up references to the latter)
    * Characters for menus and canned messages are in come graphic form (not text)?
    * Is there any problem, resistance to use of Unicode specific to mobiles other
than storage space and perhaps combining diacritics?

    TIA...
