    I did leave the length mark off. Evidently <rovas> would be [ˈrovɑʃ]
    and <rovás> is [ˈrovaːʃ]; an English-speaker tends to hear the
    distinction as between [a] and [æː] however. In any case <rovas> in
    English would be pronounced ['roʊvəz], which is also certainly
    incorrect.
