The code chart for Adlam was published in the Unicode Standard Version 9.0 in 2016. In Unicode 13.0, the reference font was replaced to improve legibility and avoid ambiguity in some letterforms, as described in L2/19-119R. Since 2020, additional improvements have been made to further minimize legibility issues, simplify forms to ease writing, and reduce ambiguities. In order to accurately reflect these changes, the font for the Adlam code chart will be replaced when we publish 17.0 by an updated font, Ebrima v.5.20, as documented in L2/24-205. For details on the evolution of the Adlam glyphs in Unicode, see UTN #58.

The current code chart is exemplified on the left, and the replacement code chart on the right. Significant glyph changes are highlighted in the replacement code chart. See 181-A104.
