Born 1963; diploma in computer science at University of Dortmund in 1989; PhD in computer science at Universität des Saarlandes in 1997; since 1991 working as a reseacher at Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik, Saarbrücken, Germany; main research topics: automated theorem proving, specification languages, logics.
