Here is an important hint for Internet newcomers:

For every Internet mailing list xxx@yyy there exists also a
xxx-request@yyy email address for handling subscriptions and
unsubscriptions. Please send your unsubscribe requests only to
the ...-request address, not to the entire list.

If you want to subscribe or unsubscribe unicode@unicode.org, then
where do you send your request? Right, you send it to
unicode-request@unicode.org and *NOT* to unicode@unicode.org.
