In boustrophedon the direction a character takes depends on the line it is on.
It is not inherent to the character as is the left-to-right and
right-to-left directionality
for strong characters in Unicode. It is, in a way, similar to vertical text
layout.

The same characters can be drawn vertically or horizontally depending on
formatting choices that are external to the plain text content. Like the
case for boustropehdon, some characters change their shape when drawn
vertically.

So, boustrophedon is somthing that you cannot express in plain text, but
could express in markup. That is the proper way to address this.
