Oh GROAN! Not this thing again! Isn't there a FAQ on this... ;-) It must
be the most-often asked question about Java & Unicode.

Peter Westlake answere quite nicely. Java uses this internally. Don't use
it for exporting data. Use the public I/O methods for extracting conformant
UTF-8 data.
