And they are not using ESMTP 8BIT negotiation either?

I.e. sending with C-T-E 8bit is perfectly ok, if negotiation in SMTP
is used first. More and more seldom you hit an MTA which can not
handle 8BIT...and one day they will be gone (I hope/dream).
