Unicode 3.0 Release

We would like to announce the availability of the final Unicode Character
Database for Unicode 3.0. This is the set of character properties that will be
shipped with The Unicode Standard, Version 3.0. The book is in production, and
will be appearing on bookshelfs starting in January of the year 2000. The
technical reports that are part of Unicode 3.0 are available now.

The vast majority of implementations will be conformant to Unicode 3.0.0 once
the character properties for their supported characters are updated to Version
3.0.0 of the Unicode Character Database.
