The rules are as Brian Doyle has stated: there are no truly
forbidden topics except job postings, but profanity is grounds
for elimination. Rabid ad homimem attacks are looked upon unfavorably,
but nothing recently has gone over the invisible line.
When Sarasvati becomes displeased with the course of events,
you will know so.
Sarasvati knows spam when she sees it, and takes care that,
for the most part, subscribers don't have to see it.
For a guide to appropriateness of topics, please see the archives.
They go back to 1994, and provide tangible evidence of what is
"acceptable" on the list. In essence, the people who post messages
determine what is on or off topic for the list.
