And likewise, U+2014 ("EM DASH") does not *have* to be exactly one em
wide (em being a unit that corresponds to the nominal type size, auf
Deutsch "Geviert"). As in all areas of type design, or even general
design -- it's a good habit to follow standards unless there is a good
reason to break them.
