    According to Google's translation it looks as though the combining
    ogonek is recommended to represent this character because fonts
    are available, even though the exact iota-shaped glyph isn't directly
    encoded in Unicode.

    So, if there's already an existing practice to represent this thing
    in computer plain text as an ogonek, wouldn't adding a new character
    break existing data?
