I'm rather disappointed. The submenus do not appear at all in my Firefox
3 on Mac. So clicking on any of the main menu items basically does
nothing except changing the quote on the main pane. The balance between
the announcements and the navigation to the key elements of the page is
disastrous: on my monitor 3% of the page is usable to navigate to the
key contents of the site. There is lots of wasted space for the
announcements.
The old main page gave me a quick overview of everything there is on the
site, so the most important things were one click away. Now I have to
click through every single main menu item to see where the appropriate
item is. For example to get to CLDR, I have to click through "The
Unicode Standards", "Key Specifications", "Technical Publications" and
"Work in Progress".
Overall, a disappointment.
