    Russian P r i v e t
    MacCyrillic x8F xF0 xE8 xE2 xE5 xF2
    MacRoman è Ë ‚ Â Ú

    xF0 is the Apple logo.
    These code positions are mapped by the infamous Pirard table
     http://www.alanflavell.org.uk/iso8859/iso8859-mac.html
    to your xE8 x95 xCB x92 xC2 xDA.

    The Russian letters from MacCyrillic were wrongly transcoded
    with Pirard's "MacRoman -> ISO-8859-1" mapping table.

    Have a look at
     http://www.smi.uib.no/files/EudTab.html
    especially look for "repair tables" on this page.
