Sure. The name change you are talking about occurred between Unicode 1.0
and Unicode 1.1 (in 1993, 18 years ago). There were *lots* of name changes
between 1.0 and 1.1 -- that was the result of the merger of the Unicode 1.0
contents and the draft content of the ISO/IEC 10646-1 content, which was
also
published in 1993. A small handful of name changes occurred between
Version 1.1 and Version 2.0, as the Unicode Standard tracked some changes
which SC2 still allowed at that time.

The Name Stability Policy applies starting from Version 2.0, and no
published
character name in the Unicode Standard and ISO/IEC 10646 has been
changed since that time. See:
