Abstract

Many challenges face developers of software in the global market. Selection of which languages to translate into, lead times required to obtain translations; how to support those locales that your product isn't translated for. Dealing with multiple languages used in a product running in multiple locales.

This paper and presentation will outline the solutions used by Tivoli is creating a product that runs in multiple locales with multiple languages and communicates between them all.

Issues explored are just in time delivery of translations, multi- locale / language support, handling language and locales for which the application isn't translated.

A live product demonstration with on the fly language switching will be used.
