Abstract

Target Audience: Software Engineer, Marketer, Other: all CJK related people

Level of Session: Intermediate

The first complete Unicode CJK kanji information dictionary in Japan will be published. This is not only a practical kanji reference book for daily writing use but also a database for CJK kanji programming, a textbook for kanji study, which was achieved as a result of long and wide variety of kanji reseach. The prominent feature of this dictionary is the relational information among variant characters. This variant information is mainly based on BUCS (Basic Unified Character Set). Variant links are spanned among members of variant character set (a representative character and its variants), which includes simplified and traditional character correspondence, C-T-J-K character correspondence, and so on.
