No. The PRC muddied the water with regards specifically to GB7590-87. The
standard as most people have copies contains simplified characters, but the
version submitted to the IRG for the unification work has traditional
characters. The net effect is that these characters (presumably) could be
used in either their traditional or simplified forms interchangeably.
