    Hello Vinod --

    Regarding the PDFs here:

    http://www.cdacmumbai.in/projects/indix/tech/shapingstd/

    You should realize that the implementation of these "proxies" in the
    codespace is not conformant to the Unicode Standard, and is bound to break.
    The reserved codepoints you are using could be filled at any time with
    other characters.

    In fact, some of your "proxies" *HAVE* been filled with characters in
    Unicode 5.0:

    097D;DEVANAGARI LETTER GLOTTAL STOP;Lo;0;L;;;;;N;;;;;
    09CE;BENGALI LETTER KHANDA TA;Lo;0;L;;;;;N;;;;;
    0CF2;KANNADA SIGN UPADHMANIYA;So;0;ON;;;;;N;;;;;

    And some others are already in the "pipeline" for post 5.0 addition:

    0A51 GURMUKHI SIGN UDAAT
    0D72 MALAYALAM NUMBER ONE THOUSAND
    0D73 MALAYALAM FRACTION ONE QUARTER
    0D74 MALAYALAM FRACTION ONE HALF

    You would do better to put your "proxies" in the private use area.

    There is a lot of active work in Indic script additions these days, so I
    would expect more of the reserved codepoints to be filled with characters
    as we move forward.

            Rick
