    I notice that in his proposal for Ranjana, Michael Everson does not
    decompose E AI O and AU:

    1183D;RANJANA VOWEL SIGN O;Mn;0;NSM;;;;;N;;;;;
    1183E;RANJANA VOWEL SIGN AU;Mn;0;NSM;;;;;N;;;;;

    though these are definitely two-part. This leads me to believe that the
    same is done for the major Indic scripts only for compatibility. But I
    am not so sure, so please somebody confirm.
