International Organization for Standardization - a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from approximately 130 countries, one voting representative from each country. International Electro-technical Commission - the international standards and conformity assessment body for all fields of electro-technology. 
IUC Internationalization and Unicode Conference
INCITS/ L2 Technical Committee L2 "Codes and Character Sets" subcommittee of the National Committee for Information Technology Standards is responsible for the creation and maintenance of U.S. standards for the coding of graphic and control characters for use in data processing systems and equipment. Graphic characters include the letters of the alphabet, digits, punctuation marks, etc. Control characters code the functions needed for the transmission, storage, manipulation and representation of graphic characters.
SC2 The international standardization subcommittee for coded character sets
SC22 The international standardization subcommittee for programming languages, their environments and system software interfaces.
UTC The Unicode Technical Committee is the primary decision making body within the Unicode Consortium, and is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Unicode Standard.
