Location of the archived code chart

The archived CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B, UCS2003 Reference Glyphs code chart is available at the URL https://www.unicode.org/Public/13.0.0/charts/UCS2003.pdf as a 168-page PDF file (9MB).

Background

The code chart for the CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B block became multicolumn in Unicode Version 5.2.0 (October, 2009). In order to preserve the historical single-column representative glyphs as shown in the ISO/IEC 10646:2003 standard, which is equivalent to Unicode Version 4.0.0, the “UCS2003” representative glyphs were added to this code chart in Unicode Version 6.1.0 (January, 2012) as the first representative glyph shown, and with “UCS2003” as the common source reference. The “UCS2003” representative glyphs, which were present only in the range U+20000 through U+2A6D6, were subsequently removed from this code chart in Unicode Version 14.0.0 (September, 2021), because they are unmaintained, misleading, serve no practical use, and lead to unnecessary reporting of errors. However, because the “UCS2003” representative glyphs are still considered useful for research and historical purposes, an archival CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B code chart that includes only the “UCS2003” representative glyphs was prepared, and is included in Unicode Version 13.0.0 (March, 2020).
