European Currency Symbol

I am trying to understand code position 20A0 as proposed for the new
Euro currency symbol.

I work with computer printers which use 8 bit coding rather than 16 bit
coding.

Do you know what the byte code (00 - FF Hex) is proposed for printers.

Also, which printer manufacturers (Hewlett Packard, IBM, Epson) have
accepted this proposal.
